You should have received an email invitation to join Procare from the preschool. We use this software program to communicate with our parents. You can message your child’s teacher, and they can also send you updates and pictures. Each month you will receive messages reminding you of tuition due date and you will receive a message once your child’s tuition is paid. Please let me know if you have not received an email inviting you to join. Tuition is due by the 15th of each month and can be paid through Procare, bank drafts, check, or cash. Checks should be made out to: Mt Pleasant Preschool. If you are paying by check/cash, you may deduct the 3% fee that is included in the total on Procare. Once I receive payment, the fee will be removed.

 

Drop-off is going well with everyone. If you arrive after 9:05 am, you will need to walk your child to the door. A doorbell is located on the door with the Blink camera.

 

The Preschool will be closed on Thursday, October 9th for everyone to attend a field trip to Red Wolf Farm in Maiden. We will meet at the farm around 9:30 am. The cost for your child to attend is $12, which does include a small pumpkin. The cost for parents or siblings to attend is $6. This does not include a pumpkin. I need to get a head count and receive your money no later than Friday, October 3rd.

 

In September, Medic Melanie spoke to the children about Car Seat Safety. As parents, it is your responsibility for the safety of our children. This month she will discuss Fire Safety.

 

October is Fire Safety Month. The Sherrills Ford Fire Department will be bringing trucks for the kids to see and learn the importance of fire safety on October 13th and 16th. This is always a good time to discuss ways to escape from your home and where to meet, if there is ever a fire in the home.

 

October is a busy month, along with Stretch-n-Grow with Mrs. Hilary and Mrs. Sabrina and Chapel Time with Pastor Kaleb.

 

Fall pictures will be on Monday, October 27th and Tuesday, October 28th. A form will be sent home for you to choose which background you wish to use for your child. Please return this form as soon as possible.

 

Scholastic Book Orders will be sent home occasionally with your child. This gives you the opportunity to order quality books at affordable prices. When you place your order, not only will your child benefit by having a new book, but the Preschool receives points to help in ordering new books for our library!

 

To end the month of October, all classes will be having Halloween parties on Thursday, October 30th and Friday, October 31st. The teachers will be sharing what is needed for each class. The children may wear their costumes if they choose too. We will also be having hayrides around the church by a grandfather of one of our former preschoolers. You are welcome to come and enjoy this with your child. Two’s ride will be 10:00-10:15, Three’s ride will be 10:15-10:30 and Four’s ride will be 10:30-10:45.
