JANUARY PRESCHOOL NEWS

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The staff at Mt. Pleasant Preschool would like to thank the children and parents for all the gifts we received. We are so grateful to have such caring parents at our preschool!

The children worked hard preparing for the program and did a fantastic job singing. Hopefully, you and your family were able to attend and enjoy our program.

Parents will be receiving a tuition statement this month through Procare with the amount paid for their child’s 2022 tuition.  Our tax id is located on this form and can be used when filing your taxes for 2022. Please let me know if you don’t receive it before January 31st.

This month’s Safety Class with Medic Melanie will be Stranger Danger & Gun Safety.

Mrs. Jennifer has been doing an awesome job with Chapel Time. Thanks to Cindy Briles, Aidan’s grandmother, in the two’s class, for crocheting a character to go along with all our Bible stories. We are excited to welcome Pastor Byron and look forward to him leading Chapel Time in February.

Mrs Hilary, with Stretch-n-Grow will also be back to teach the children the importance of eating healthy and exercising.

Looking ahead:

The preschool will be closed January 16th and January 27th, in accordance with the Catawba County school calendar.

Keep in mind, registration will begin in February for current preschoolers and church members. Registration will open to the public in March. This year we had classes fill up and had to turn children away. You will need to register early to make sure your child has a spot in one of our classes next year. The children currently attending preschool, have the first week of February to turn in their application and registration fee to reserve their same days attending for the next preschool year. You are NOT automatically guaranteed the same schedule as the previous year unless we have received your application and registration fee.

There will be an increase in tuition and registration for the upcoming year. Luckily, we have not had an increase in four years. The registration fee is used to help purchase supplies and anything needed throughout the year. Tuition helps us to meet our budget each month and covers payroll for the staff.

The preschool follows the Catawba County School’s decision on closing school or delay policies for inclement weather. Please watch the news for what Catawba County Schools are doing.
